The first training session for the Parkinson’s England WFA took place on the first Sunday of 2026 at the impressive Dome, London Colney, setting the tone for what proved to be a hugely successful day.
Sutton United Foundation’s very own Karen Bagley was part of the training team, and we were proud to be there supporting and watching an outstanding session unfold.
The event brought together Fighting Fit Football and Berkhamstead Ladies for a walking football round-robin tournament, celebrating football, friendship, and the importance of staying active together.

The standard of play was exceptional. Commitment, teamwork, and quality on the ball were evident throughout, with every participant giving their all and supporting one another across the session.
Connecting football with the local community to improve lives is at the heart of what so many of our extended network do, so a huge thank you to everyone involved — both on the pitch and behind the scenes — for making this event such a success.
