Sutton United Foundation is pleased to announce that we have joined Charities Trust, opening up another simple and trusted way for supporters to back our work in the community.
This is an exciting step for the Foundation because Charities Trust is a long-established not-for-profit organisation that helps connect charities with donors, employers and workplace giving schemes across the UK. It works with businesses and public sector organisations to support charitable giving, and is also an HMRC-approved Payroll Giving Agency. Through its services, employees can donate to charities directly from their salary in a way that is designed to be easy, secure and tax-efficient.
Easier Ways to Give Via Charities Trust
For Sutton United Foundation, being part of Charities Trust gives us greater visibility and the opportunity to reach supporters in new ways, particularly through Payroll Giving. Payroll Giving allows donations to be taken from an employee’s pay before income tax is deducted, helping supporters give regularly in a tax-efficient way. Charities Trust also provides donors with a My Giving Account, which allows them to manage how much they give and which charities they support.
That matters because regular giving can make a real difference to charities like ours. Every donation helps Sutton United Foundation continue delivering programmes that support local people through sport, inclusion, health and community engagement.
